Workshopy (workshopy.io) is operated by Yaniv Grama, an individual based in Israel (“Workshopy”, “we”, “us”). These terms are an agreement between you and us about your use of Workshopy — the website, the app, the public demo and the MCP server AI apps connect to. By creating an account, joining a session or otherwise using Workshopy, you accept them. If you use Workshopy for a school or another organization, you accept them for that organization as well, and confirm you may do so. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data.
Workshopy is a tool for running live, hands-on workshops: a teacher (the “host”) writes a workshop as a template of steps and runs it as a live session, and participants join with a code and follow along. We keep improving it, so features may change, and we may add, change or retire features. When a change takes away something a paid plan includes, we tell account holders before it happens.
You need an account to host workshops, and you must be at least 16 to have one. Keep your sign-in to yourself: you are responsible for what happens under your account, and you should tell us at once at security@workshopy.io if you think someone else has used it. The information you give us must be accurate.
Participants join a session with a display name only — no account and no contact details. As a host, you decide who you invite, and you are responsible for using Workshopy with your participants in line with the law and with your institution's rules, including any consent needed for minors. As a participant, you agree to follow these terms and the host's reasonable instructions; what you write in a session (chat, notes, answers, help requests) is visible to its host, and some of it to other participants when the host allows it. A host may remove a participant from a session.
What you create or upload — templates, steps, quizzes, images, videos, chat messages and answers — stays yours. You give us permission to store, copy, process and display it only as needed to run Workshopy for you: to show your workshops to your participants, to build your reports, to back it up and to keep the service working. That permission ends when the content is deleted, apart from copies kept for a limited time in backups. We do not sell your content and we do not use it to train AI models. You confirm that you have the rights to what you upload and that it doesn't break the law or anyone else's rights. You can export your templates and reports at any time.

Workshopy has a free plan and paid plans. What each plan includes — its limits and prices — is shown on our website and in Settings → Plan in your account. Paid plans renew automatically, monthly or yearly, until you cancel. Payments are processed by Polar, our merchant of record, which charges you, issues invoices and handles taxes; Polar's own terms apply to the payment itself.
You can cancel at any time from Settings. Your paid plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for, and then your account moves to the free plan: everything you created stays, but you can't add more than the free plan allows. Payments are not refunded for partly used periods, except where the law requires it or we agree to it — write to legal@workshopy.io. If we change a plan's price or limits, the change applies to new subscriptions; we won't reduce what an active paid subscription includes while it keeps renewing, and we tell subscribers before a price change reaches them.
You may connect third-party AI apps (such as ChatGPT or Claude) to your account through Workshopy's MCP server. A connected app acts on your templates and media library, and reads your classes' numbers, on your behalf, within your plan and only for as long as you keep it connected; you are responsible for the apps you approve and for what you ask them to do, and their use is governed by their providers' own terms. We may limit how many requests an app makes, and we may disconnect an app that misuses the service. Workshopy sells nothing inside those apps. Workshopy's own AI features — Ask AI, Create with AI and the class AI helper — write suggestions and answers with models from Anthropic and OpenAI. They can be wrong: check what they write before you teach it, and nothing changes in your templates until you apply it. The class AI helper answers students in your class only after you confirm you may use AI with them (including any consent your school or their parents require) and turn it on; you see every question, and questions are deleted 30 days after the class. AI use counts toward your plan's monthly AI limits, and we may pause AI features for a while to keep them running for everyone.
You can delete your account at any time in Settings; that deletes your templates, files, sessions and reports, so export what you want to keep first. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts the service or other people at risk, or where the law requires it. Suspending an account ends its live sessions. When we can, we tell you why and give you a chance to fix the problem first.
We work hard to keep Workshopy running and your data safe, but the service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises beyond those in these terms — for example, that it will never be interrupted, be free of errors, or suit a particular purpose. Keep your own copies of anything important (export is always available).
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses — such as lost profits, lost data or lost opportunities — and our total liability for any claim about Workshopy is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and 100 US dollars. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, such as for fraud, intent or gross negligence, or your rights as a consumer under the law of the country you live in.
We may update these terms as Workshopy changes. If a change is material, we tell account holders by email or in the app at least 14 days before it takes effect, and the date above changes. Continuing to use Workshopy after that means you accept the new terms; if you don't, you can cancel and delete your account.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and the competent courts of Tel Aviv–Jaffa have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute about them — without taking away the protection of mandatory consumer law in the country you live in, or your right to bring a claim there where that law gives it to you.
These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Workshopy. If a part of them can't be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a right now doesn't mean giving it up. We may transfer this agreement to a company that takes over operating Workshopy, and will tell you if we do; you may not transfer it without our consent.
